Part II/Newly Qualified Part III Architect

Callingham Architects is currently seeking a Part II or Newly Qualified Part III Architect to join their team.

The Essentials: The things we are looking for

  • A ‘can do’ attitude and overall approach to working – we are small team in which your contribution will really matter. We will expect you to lend a hand and take advantage of the opportunity to learn about all aspects of running both a practice and project by being hands on and engaged at all times
  • An ability to plan, manage and organise yourself and your work – we will provide the framework to support this but expect to be working on multiple different projects every day that will require careful time management, excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to suit deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail – from spelling errors to ensuring drawings are created in accordance with the Callingham Architects brand and the ability to self evaluate and maintain quality control is an absolute must
  • Excellent communication skills – in writing, on the phone and in person. You will be trusted to engage positively with our clients and consultants and liaise confidently with colleagues to understand project briefs and day to day activities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD

Advantageous skills:

  • Previous experience working on residential projects – from domestic new builds through to large apartment buildings and housing developments
  • Proficiency in Sketch Up, Photoshop and InDesign is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of planning application types, how they differ and what is required for each
  • Sound knowledge of planning policy and/or English Building Regulations
  • Previous experience of running projects from inception to completion
